GOVERNMENT EXTENDS CHRISTMAS DUTY FREE ALLOWANCE INTO JANUARY
Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 28, 2018 (SKNIS): The Comptroller of the Customs and Excise Department, Kennedy DeSilva, has advised that the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has extended the period for duty concessions on non-commercial imports.

The new deadline for all non-commercial imports arriving by air is Friday, January 04, 2019, while the deadline for all non-commercial imports arriving by sea is now Friday, January 11, 2019.

The concessions are offered under the Christmas Incentive Programme and offers duty and tax concessions on goods brought in up to a value of US$200.

The extension facilitates the clearance of back logged non-commercial cargo.
