Tight security as Bye goes on trial for alleged murder of pizza businessman

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 22, 2019 – The trial of Omax Bye for the alleged murder of young Pizza owner, Gregory Mills, entered its second day Tuesday with tight security around the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Judicial and Legal Services Complex in Basseterre.

Mills was gunned down and died at the scene on May 9, 2017 in the Gillard Meadows area.

The trial which is expected to last four days will see the prosecution calling six witnesses.

The section of Independence Square in front of the court house has been cordoned off and is off-limits to pedestrian traffic and assembly of persons. Armed police officers are posted in that area.
