West Basseterre Branch of the Peoples Labour Party opens office on Saturday March 23

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, March 22, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — With the opening of a Peoples Labour Party (PLP) branch office in Lime Kiln on Saturday March 23, constituents of St. Christopher Three (West Basseterre) will not only have an opportunity for one-on-one interactions with Team Unity’s Caretaker for the constituency, Senator the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, but would also receive government services from the office.

The ceremony to mark the official opening of the West Basseterre PLP Branch office, which is situated in the Lime Kiln Industrial Park at the CMR Building (Unit E), will start at 4:30 pm and in attendance will be Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party, and Prime Minister, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris and members of PLP National and Branch Executives.

“We do have a presence in Number Seven but we also have to ensure that we maintain our presence in Number Three as well,” said the Hon Byron-Nisbett who noted that in the last general elections the PLP contested two seats, Number Seven and Number Three. She is also the Deputy National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party, and the Chairman of the Peoples Labour Party Constituency Number Three (West Basseterre) Branch.

“The Number Three office will be able to provide for us a place where persons can come to get information, not only about the party but we will also be offering different forms and applications from the government services as well,” explained the Team Unity’s Caretaker. “For instance persons can come here instead of having to go into town to collect passport forms, or land forms, or such items. We are going to have them here at the office so persons can come in and collect the forms from here.”

The office, which has a conference room, will be manned by a secretary who will be available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day to provide any information anyone needs. It will also serve to assist the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett with her duties as the Team Unity Caretaker for the constituency.

“Opening will be at 4:30 pm at the parking lot, and then we come inside for the official cutting of the ribbon and tour of the office as well as socialisation afterwards,” noted the Hon Byron-Nisbett. “We are expecting to have the PLP National Political Leader, Executive of the Peoples Labour Party, as well as our Team Unity partners PAM and CCM and of course all are welcome.”
