Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 06, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred along the F.T. Williams Highway on July 05.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. and involved motor car P 7226 driven by Diamond Williams of Greenlands and pedestrian Hement Saffee of Shadwell.
Circumstances are that motor car P 7226 was traveling east along the F.T. Williams Highway and when it got in the vicinity of JAM’s Welding Shop, the pedestrian was crossing the road and was struck.
Emergency Medical Services and a Medical Examiner were summoned to the scene. The Medical Examiner pronounced Saffee dead.
The driver of P 7226 was taken into Police custody to assist further with the investigation into the matter.
