CARIBBEAN GALAXY CONGRATULATES ST. KITTS AND NEVIS ON ITS 36TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis have received warm and sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of Independence from the Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate Corporation.
The corporation has a productive five-year relationship with the federation and has invested millions of dollars, primarily through the development of the impressive Ramada St. Kitts Resort in the White Gate area. The relationship goes even deeper as national and community festivals such as the St. Kitts Music Festival and the Green Valley Festival, have benefitted from sponsorship over the years. Considerable contributions have also been made to various schools and charitable events across the country.
Walter Tang, Galaxy’s Vice President of Overseas Development, said that: “We are pleased to extend best wishes and a Happy Independence to all our friends and partners in St. Kitts and Nevis. We are truly inspired by the positive economic and social transformation that has taken place in the country since it gained sovereignty on September 19, 1983, and have great respect for the leaders of the past and present who have guided this growth.”
Mr. Tang also saluted the innovative and resilient spirit of nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis that allows the twin-island federation to successfully punch above its weight in the global arena. This has led to many international accolades in sport, information and communication technology, tourism, and foreign direct investment, to name a few. Citizens also assume prominent roles in areas such as business, medicine, economics, diplomacy, and education around the world.

St. Kitts and Nevis gained independence from Great Britain on September 19, 1983. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Unify, Transform, Enrich: Uplifting Communities for Independence 36.”
