Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 03, 2019 (SKNIS): Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris recently led a delegation to the 74th Session of the United Nations’ General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City where much was accomplished including the provision of strong advocacy on issues that matter to the citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis.
During his monthly press conference held on October 03, 2019, the Prime Minister stated that matters discussed included job creation, climate change, correspondent banking, de-risking, the Citizen by Investment (CBI) industry, human resource development, etc.

One notable accomplishment during the trip was the signing of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
