SECTION OF BAY ROAD TEMPORARILY MADE ONE-WAY
In order to ease traffic congestion along the Bay Road in the vicinity of the Public Market, and to better accommodate persons traveling to that area to do business, a section of the Bay Road will only allow for traffic to flow in one direction on Saturday mornings.
Motorists and pedestrians are therefore asked to note that all vehicles driving towards the city along the Bay Road (that is from West to East) will have to turn left onto Malone Avenue. Omnibuses can return to the Ferry Terminal by then turning right onto Fort Thomas Road, turning right into College Street Ghaut, and turning right onto the Bay Road.
Vehicles driving along the Bay Road from the city towards the War Memorial (that is from East to West) will be allowed to do so.
The changes take effect every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. until further notice. Officers and Wardens will also be present in the area to assist. Persons are asked to be guided by their instructions and this information.
