federation within 90 days of a new SKNLP administration

Kingston, Jamaica, January 22, 2020 – Several potential investors attending the 15th Regional Investments and Capital Markets in Jamaica have held wideranging talks with St Kitts and Nevis’ Leader of the Opposition, the Rt Hon Dr Denzil L. Douglas and promised to send a delegation to Basseterre within 90 days of a new SKNLP administration.


Dr Douglas, the National Political Leader of the St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) was earlier personally greeted and welcomed to Kingston by Jamaica’s Prime Minister, The Most Honourable Andrew Holness during the meeting.
Speaking to a breakfast gathering of investors, business tycoons and high level government officials on Wednesday morning, Dr Douglas delivered a riveting presentation during the session held at The Jamaica Pegasus in Kingston.
During his presentation, Dr Douglas, a former prime minister and minister of finance, stirred the excitement of investors in support of his NextGen SKN plans to bring affordable homes for young and middle-income graduates and first-time home owners.
During the question and answer period, investors pledged to send a delegation to visit St Kitts and Nevis within 90 days of a new Labour administration.
“They expressed interest in lending their expertise and providing capital for young people in St Kitts and Nevis willing to lead in the creative industries in areas such as music, film (and) dance. Exploring the potential for developing information technology competencies in App development and robotics as well as scientific research and development were also discussed with Dr Douglas,” a source privy to the discussions said Wednesday.
