ST. KITTS-NEVIS GOVERNMENT SUSPENDS ITS TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Due to the risk posed by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), should it reach the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Team Unity Government has taken the decision suspend its series of town hall meetings until further notice.

The decision was made based on advice received from the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hazel Laws.

The Government will continue to keep the public informed throughout these uncertain times via radio announcements, ZIZ television and through social media.

Today, Tuesday, March 24, Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris and the Team Unity Cabinet will host a press conference at 3:00pm at the Ocean Terrace Inn (OTI) where citizens and residents will be updated on additional measures being put in place to cushion the fall-out from the virus.

Later this evening from 8:00 – 10:00pm, Prime Minister Harris, along with Deputy Prime Minister the Honourable Shawn Richards and Minister of Public Infrastructure et al., the Honourable Ian Patches Liburd will be live on ZIZ Radio (95.9, 96.1, 96.3 or 96.9 FM). The listening public will have the opportunity to phone-in and be a part of the discussion.
