The message was clear on Tuesday evening August 11 that the big guns of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League are still top contenders in the 25th edition of the league, even after having lost their games on Sunday August 9.

When the sixth segment of play in the first round of the domino league opened on Tuesday evening defending champions Parsons Domino Club, in a game held at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, were not in any compromising mood when they punished Guinness Domino Club 13-5.

Also at the Lodge Community Centre, former champions Lodge Domino Club beat Giants Domino Club by the same margin, 13-5. It was not exactly a smooth sailing at the neighbouring Cuban Bar where the other former champions Unity Patriots Domino Club struggled to beat Sylvers Domino Club 13-11.

Tabernacle Police Station was the venue of two games of extreme. Tabernacle Domino Club annihilated and stopped a hapless Unstoppable Domino Club 13-3, while on the other extreme, Mansion Domino Club scrapped through by the skin of their teeth narrowly beating a stubborn and determined Small Corner Bar Domino Club 13-12.

Two games were supposed to take place at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux. In the only game that took place, Christchurch Domino Club beat Molineux Domino Club 13-6. The game between the so far unbeaten Phillips Domino Club and Saddlers Domino Club did not take place as some players on the latter team had been bereaved.

Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League which is the longest running such league in the Federation, is sponsored by Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.

The seventh segment of play in the first round of the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League will take place on Thursday August 13 at three venues – Tabernacle Police Station, Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux, and the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. All games start at 7:00 pm.

The Tabernacle Police Station will host games between Christchurch and Saddlers, and Tabernacle and Giants. The Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux will be the venue for the games between Small Corner Bar and Phillips, and Unity Patriots and Unstoppable.

Three games are scheduled for the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, but as a result of the Covid-19 protocols being observed, one of the games will be moved to the neighbouring Cuban Bar. The games will feature defending champions Parsons vs. Sylvers; Guinness vs. Molineux; and Lodge vs. Mansion.

Thomas Henderson of Mansion Domino Club makes a move during their game against Small Corner Bar Domino Club in which they won by the narrowest of the margins, 13-12.
Going home early: Captain Zeyn Pencheon of Christchurch Domino Club in action as his team rapidly dismissed Molineux Domino Club 13-6.
