CELEBRATION
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 7 th , 2020 — The National Housing Corporation (NHC), celebrated with a week of activities to mark its 24 th Anniversary on September 1 st , 2020. The customer-focused week of activities ran from August 30 th to September 5 th , 2020.
One of the highlights of the activities was a staff breakfast that began with a prayer followed by a monetary token to the staff who made 24 th years at the Corporation. These persons are Helena Charles, Mavis Warner-Powell, Camilia Williams, Tamena Byron and Myrtle Nelson.
During the activities, NHC also gave a dinner-for-two voucher at BOOZIES to Marcus Samuel of Cayon. Marcus won the competition for the “Best Suited Name for the NHC Townhouses Development,” which he calls “Coconut Palm Grove at Stapleton Residences.” Mr. Samuel’s name for the Development was selected from among 20 other submissions.
The National Housing Corporation, as part of its anniversary celebrations, also launched its new online Epay platform where persons can go online to www.nhc.kn to make their mortgage and land loan payments from anywhere at any time. This online payment option is fast, convenient
and user-friendly. New videos were also released geared towards the sensitization of NHC’s initiatives and a plea to practice responsibility when it comes to your mortgage payments.
The allocations of two (2) prefab houses in Spooners and Hermitage, Cayon were also a part of the celebration. At the House Allocation Ceremony held on Friday 4 th September, Ms. Irona Simmonds and Ms. Patricia Jeffers gratefully received a 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom home, respectively; each totaling over 9000 sq ft in size and includes appliances such as refrigerator,
gas stove and microwave, among other essentials.
The week of activities culminated on Saturday 5 th September, with an online discussion targeted to homeowners who have defaulted on their loans.
NHC takes this time to congratulate the named persons above who served the Corporation well for so many years and wish them many more years with us. We also extend congratulations to Misses Simmonds and Jeffers on their new homes. Last but not least, congratulations to Marcus
Samuel for the new name of the townhouses and thanks to all the participants in the conducted
survey.
