TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR NATIONAL SNEAKER DAY ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2020

In honour of National Sneaker Day. The city centre will be made a walking zone. Please see traffic arrangements for today as a result.

TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR NATIONAL SNEAKER DAY ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2020

Parking Restrictions:

• Parking will be restricted on Fort Street, Cayon Street, Liverpool Row and West Independence Square Street.

Traffic Flow:

  • No vehicular traffic will be allowed on the following streets in Basseterre:

• Fort Street from Cayon Street to the Circus;
• Church Street from Cayon Street to Liverpool Row;
• Central Street from West Independence Square Street to College Street Ghaut.

As a result, the top of Church Street, the junction of Central and College Street, Upper Delisle Street, the Circus in the vicinity of the Polo Company and Rosemary Lane will be blocked.

Restrictions will be imposed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020. The Traffic Department is asking the public to be guided accordingly.
