FIRE REPORT: at about 19:15 hours on the 13/11/2020 the Basseterre Fire Unit responded to a report of a house fire at Mattingley Heights.

FIRE REPORT: at about 19:15 hours on the 13/11/2020 the Basseterre Fire Unit responded to a report of a house fire at Mattingley Heights. On arrival to the scene the Unit met a fire in the garage area of a house own by Mr. Joseph Jong. The Unit quickly went into action using water from the appliance to extinguish the fire. The content of the garage was totally destroyed by the fire. Other areas of the house than showed damages from the fire are the office, the bathroom of the master bedroom and the walk in closet for the master bedroom. The house contained five other rooms that were all sooted on the walls and floor. Mr. Joseph Jong occupied the three bedroom portion of the house with his dogs while his tenants Virginia Womack, Julia Blengino and Jason McGowan occupied the down stairs. One of Joseph’s dog, twelve years old lily died as a result of the fire. The house is insured by Caribbean Alliance Insurance. The cause of the fire is unknown.

FIRE REPORT: at about 03:13 hours on the 14/11/2020 the Basseterre Fire Unit responded to a report of a vehicle fire at Conaree. On arrival to the scene the Unit met a grey Kia Sorento registration P-2326 burning. The vehicle is owned by Miss Joyer Webbe and insured by Snic. Miss Webbe explain that she parked the vehicle in her yard at about 20:30 hours on the 13/11/2020 and just after 03:00 hours her neighbor alerted her to the fact that her vehicle was on fire. The cause of the fire is unknown.
