The Verchilds High School staff and students engaged in a series of meaningful activities this morning (Thursday 26th November, 2020) for general assembly in keeping with the Scripture verse 1 Corinthians 13: 1-11.

The key highlights were as follow:
1- Scripture Reading:

  • Shazonna Marshall (1V1)
  • Shavalia Thomas (1V1)
  • Tamia Lopez (1V1)

2- Solo – Rise Up – Joshua Rochester (1V2)

3- Makeda Nicholls (1VL) probed to the population thexperiment with growing a popcorn seed

4- Competitions included skipping competition. For every minute a child skipped, he or she would earn $1.00.
a. Taiyoncé Liburd (2V1) and Tanijah Lee (1V3) won the skipping competitions and won $5 complements the principal. b. Additionally, Séb Frederick (1V1) was the first student who was able to draw the hop scotch diagram.

Some students also challenged some teachers in tug-of-war.

Notably, there were numerous lessons to be learned in keeping with the Scripture.

The students burst with excitement as they moved from activity to activity.
