PM Harris to worship at Mount Carmel Baptist Church as he celebrates combined anniversaries

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, December 4, 2020 (MMS-SKN) — On Monday November 29 in 1993, 28-year-old Mr Timothy Harris of Tabernacle Village was elected as the Area Parliamentary Representative for St Christopher Seven (Bellevue to Ottley’s) and exactly seven days later, on Monday December 6, he celebrated his 29th birthday,

Twenty seven years later, those two anniversaries are still seven days apart. However new developments have taken place among them the people of Constituency Number Seven patting themselves on the back for having had the vision to make the right choice when they elected the youthful politician who is still not only their Area Parliamentary Representative but is now the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris.

“On Sunday 29th November 2020, the Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party and Parliamentary Representative of Constituency Number Seven, Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris celebrated twenty seven years of unbroken, unwavering Service and Leadership to the people of St. Christopher and Nevis,” reminded Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP), Mr Craig Tuckett.

This year two anniversaries fall on consecutive Sunday and many will be excused if they thought that the 27th Anniversary of the election of Dr the Hon Timothy Harris as a Parliamentarian passed by without the usual celebrations. The celebrant had other ideas as the two anniversaries will be celebrated jointly on Sunday December 6 – his birthday.

“This coming Sunday 6th December 2020, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Honourable Timothy Harris will be worshipping at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Bourryeau at 10:00 am to give Almighty God Praise and thanksgiving in celebration of his 27th anniversary of exemplary leadership, representation and service as Parliamentarian, member of Cabinet and now Prime Minister,” announced Mr Craig Tuckett, Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP). “All are invited to come and worship with him on this glorious day of celebration.”

Prime Minister Harris is the National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP), one of the three political parties in the Team Unity Government. The others are the People’s Action Movement (PAM) led by Deputy Prime Minister the Hon Shawn Richards, and the Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) led by the Premier of Nevis the Hon Mark Brantley.

“On behalf of the National Executive of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP), all eight of its Constituency Branches, its members, supporters well-wishers and from a grateful nation, we congratulate our Leader and Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris on achieving this milestone in the history of St. Kitts and Nevis,” said Mr Tuckett. “We pray Almighty God’s richest blessings, favour and protection over his life, health and family.”
