Travel ban is implemented

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The government of Sint Maarten is paying keen attention to the development surrounding the more contagious British, South Africa and South America variant of the corona virus. As a result, a travel ban on persons traveling from those countries is now in place. That is according to the Honorable Minister with the responsibility for TEATT, Ludmila de Weever. This was necessary in an effort to safeguard citizens.

The countries affected by the ban which went into effect as per January 27th until further notice are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, French Guyana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, Surinam, United Kingdom, Uruguay and Venezuela.
