Wanted St. Kitts Cop Was Hiding On Redonda, Surrenders To Local Police

Police say the Vincentian police officer wanted for a sexual offence was hiding on Redonda.

According to reports surrendered at the St. John’s Police Station around 1am yesterday, Thursday November 14th.

The suspect reported to police that he left St. Kitts twelve days ago via a boat and was dropped off at Redonda, where he remained for approximately ten days before getting a boat ride to Antigua.

Zr.Ms. Groningen intercepts go-fasts with money, drugs and saves life

PHILIPSBURG:— The naval ship Zr.Ms. Groningen, functioning as the West Indian Guard ship of the Royal Netherlands Navy, intercepted a number of go fasts in the past week. The interceptions were executed during a Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard patrol. After detecting the fast-moving vessels, the naval ship proceeded to intercept. A total of 424 kilos of cocaine and a bag of cash money were confiscated. The speed boats were seen jettisoning packages, a thorough search of the area rendered no results. A drowning person has also been brought to safety.

PHILIPSBURG:— Coast Guard and other law enforcement officers on St. Maarten hauled in some 450 kilos of cocaine in St. Maarten waters. At least four men believed to be from the BVI are in custody.
The Coast Guards are very tight-lipped on the case. The only thing SMN News was told that St. Maarten Coast Guards are busy working on a case and that later today they will make an announcement.
