PM Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris paid last respects to fellow villager and constituent Avanel Akers
Thursday afternoon Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven, who has responsibility for the Skills Training Empowerment Programme (STEP) Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, has joined family and members of the Tabernacle community for the funeral of the late Ms Avanel Akers, being held at the House of Deliverance New Testament Church of God on Main Street in Tabernacle.
With Prime Minister Harris at the funeral service is Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Senator the Hon Dr Bernicia Nisbett, who is one of the several nieces of the late Ms Avanel Akers.
Deputy Speaker, Senator the Hon Bernicia Nisbett, read the eulogy.
The sermon was delivered by Pastor Keith Phipps, brother of the late Ms Avanel Akers. Pastor Phipps is a Field Officer with the Skills Training Empowerment Programme (STEP).
Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris delivered a reflection after he laid the first wreath at the graveside.
