WAHS End of Year Parent Notice- July 17, 2021
Washington Archibald High School
From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Academic Year 2020-2021 has been an experience like no other. Although on a shift basis, we have had the privilege of working with your children in our physical space at WAHS for the first two terms. Unfortunately, the circumstances of Covid-19 denied us the chance of gathering as the “Washie” family for most of the third term. You were called upon to support and assist us in a major way. Therefore, we express profound gratitude. Undoubtedly, you have been our tower of strength. As the 2020-2021 school year has now officially come to close, I wish to share with you the following:
Student Reports:
Reports will be available for pick up by Parents/Guardians at the school during the period July 20 to 23, 2021 from 9:30am to 12:00pm on the assigned dates ONLY. After that, all remaining reports will be mailed. Please note that children will not be allowed to collect reports.
Form 1 – Tuesday July 20th Form 2 – Wednesday July 21st
Form 3 – Thursday July 22nd Form 4 – Friday July 23rd
You are asked to adhere to the stipulated days and time as the school will NOT be accessible otherwise due to the CSEC Examinations and the safety protocols and procedures that will be undertaken prior to and after each examination.
New Incoming First Form Students
We are awaiting the student information for each child who will be attending the Washington Archibald High School in September 2021. Once this information is received and the placement is completed, we will notify you via the major radio stations and on our Facebook page of the days and times to collect your child’s/ward’s First Form Placement Package.
During the summer months, I encourage you to frequently visit our Facebook page for updates as they become available. This is our most accessible mode of communication with you during this season.
As we seek to observe the ‘new’ normal due to the Covid-19 virus and adhere to all the safety protocols, we wish you the absolute best in your endeavours. We look forward to seeing you in the new term as we focus on “Excelling Today for A Brighter Tomorrow”.
We wish you a safe and enjoyable summer and pray God’s protection over all of you and your entire family circle. Until we meet again at the start of the new school year! #wildcatspride
