Hon Dr. Geoffrey Hanley’s ‘Small Skills Training Series’ concludes today. The series began on Saturday August 21 at 8:00am. This initiative granted an opportunity for persons interested in skills development and career growth, while assisting in the renovation of the Tucker Clarke Primary School.
Dr. Hanley stated that he started this initiative because “serving my community brings me a great sense of pride and love for my people and country”
The first day of the Small Skills Training Initiative was a success. About 15 individuals participated and learned how to measure and level floors for tiling, how to mix cement/make concrete, how to mix tile cement, how to apply tiles and how to prepare for grouting.
Dr. Hanley expressed gratitude for all who showed up to participate in the initiative. “We are one people striving to accomplish great things. We must continue to be creative in teaching our people how to be productive citizens”, he added.
