GOVERNOR-GENERAL OF CANADA EXTENDS WARMEST WISHES TO GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF ST. KITTS & NEVIS ON ITS 38TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE
Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 19, 2021 (SKNIS): The Governor-General of Canada, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary May Simon, in a congratulatory message to St. Kitts and Nevis’ Governor-General, His Excellency Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO. QC, JP, LL.D, has extended warmest wishes to the Government and people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on the occasion of its 38th Anniversary of Independence.
“Our countries enjoy a close and dynamic relationship based on our long-standing people-to-people ties, shared values and historic roots. Our partnership is further strengthened through our commercial cooperation in such areas as infrastructure, climate resilience and tourism, and through our collaboration in multilateral institutions,” Her Excellency said.
She continued: “Canada stands in solidarity with St. Kitts and Nevis during these unprecedented times. We look forward to continuing our work towards economic recovery and a more prosperous, safe and secure hemisphere in the coming year. I wish you and your country a wonderful celebration on this special day.”
