THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA SALUTES ST. KITTS AND NEVIS ON ITS 38TH ANNIVERSARY AS A SOVEREIGN NATION

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 23, 2021 (SKNIS): President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa has saluted the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis on their 38th anniversary of Independence.

In a letter to Governor-General of St. Kitts & Nevis, His Excellency Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP, LL. D, His Excellency Ramaphosa wrote:

“On the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the Independence Day of Saint Kitts and Nevis on 19th September 2021, the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa join me in conveying to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Saint Kitts and Nevis our warm greetings and sincere congratulations.”

His Excellency Ramaphosa added: “I take this opportunity to express the wish for Your Excellency’s good health, and also reaffirm our desire to further enhance and consolidate the excellent relations and bond of friendship that exist between our countries. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”

St. Kitts and Nevis established diplomatic relations with South Africa on the 25th of February, 1998.
