The St. Kitts Abattoir within the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources received a new Freezer Truck

The St. Kitts Abattoir within the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources received a new Freezer Truck courtesy of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis at a brief handing over ceremony held at the Abattoir grounds on Monday 27 September.

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Timothy Harris handed over the keys to Hon. Alexis Jeffers, Minister of Agriculture and noted that the truck will help the abattoir fulfill its mandate to provide fresher and higher quality of meat. Minister Jeffers thanked the Honourable Prime Minister and stated that the new vehicle falls under the government’s stimulus Package to boost the sector. At the end of the ceremony, a special vehicle display was led by the Head of the Engineering Unit, Mr. Mark Archibald.
