On Sunday October 17, a special service of praise and thanksgiving at the Pro Cathedral of St. George with St. Barnabus kicked off the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Marine Resources’ World Food Day Week of Activities.

During the service, prayers of guidance for a better future and a better life were offered up for members of staff and all other stakeholders who contribute towards the development and enhancement of the agricultural and fisheries sector. In his brief remarks, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources, the Hon. Alexis Jeffers shared the upcoming World Food Day activities and thanked the church family for welcoming and supporting his Ministry. Minister Jeffers also pledged his Ministry’s commitment to ensuring food security in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Parish priest at the Pro Cathedral & Parish of St George with St. Barnabas, Reverend Canon Dwayne Cassius gave best wishes to the Ministry and prayed for a safe and successful World Food week of activities.
