PRIME MINISTER HARRIS PARTICIPATES IN 71ST MEETING OF THE OECS AUTHORITY

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, January 27, 2022 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 participated virtually in the 71st Meeting of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Authority where matters of importance to the sub-region were discussed.

Wednesday’s meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Grenada, The Right Honourable Dr. Keith Mitchell.

Among the matters discussed were regional integration with a focus on the free circulation of goods and the free movement of persons, as well as the next sitting of the OECS Assembly. 

Prime Minister Harris was supported in the meeting by Ambassador His Excellency Vance Amory; His Excellency Sydney Osborne, Ambassador to CARICOM and OECS Commissioner; Mr. Samuel Berridge, Assistant Secretary in the Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit, and Foreign Service Officer, Mr. Bjorn Hazel.
