DEVELOPING A NATIONAL QUALITY POLICY IS SPECIAL TOPIC ON WORKING FOR YOU ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 8, 2022 (SKNIS): Developing a National Quality Policy to Improve the National Quality Infrastructure for St. Kitts and Nevis will be discussed on the popular government radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. 

The special guests will be Hon. Wendy Phipps, Minister of International Trade, Industry, Commerce, Consumer Affairs and Labour; Mr. Stuart Laplace, Director of St. Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards; Mr. Deryck Omar, Chief Executive Officer of CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ); Dr. Ulrich Harmes—Liedtke, Economist and Consultant; and Ms. Julie-Ann Laudat, Manager and Owner of JAL Training and Consultancy Services.      

The discussion will focus on the importance of a National Quality Policy to guide the development of a national quality and technical regulations system to support the competitiveness of the country as well as enhance consumer protection. This will require a joint effort of public, private or civil society to promote a national quality culture.         

Hosted by Lesroy Williams, “Working for You” offers news, views, reviews, interviews and all the happenings of the Team Unity Administration, which has pledged transparency, accountability, good governance, and a fair share for all citizens of the Federation.
The programme features government officials, heads of government departments, permanent secretaries and other government officials who will provide you with timely, relevant and accurate information as it relates to the social, economic, human, political and sustainable development of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“Working for You” is broadcast live every Wednesday on ZIZ, WinnFM and Sugar City Rock from 1:30-3:00 pm and rebroadcast on Freedom FM and Von Radio on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00 am and 10:30-12:00 pm respectively, and CBN-Radio on Sundays from 5:00-6:30 pm.
