Please help us recognise Mr. Clement Williams as a Foundational Member of the SDC. His dedicated service since the very first SDC meeting in 2013 is greatly appreciated and worth celebrating. Here is what Jomo Williams has to say about his time as an SDC member thus far:
Clement Williams is the general manager at the St. Kitts Electricity Company Limited. In his role he is responsible for ensuring that the company achieves its goal of providing electricity reliability and responsibly. In his capacity as general manager he oversees several capital and transformational projects aimed at improving the company’s technical development. As a consummate professional he is innovative, during his tenure as general manager Williams thrusted the company into several technological and renewable energy projects thereby modernizing and streamlining the company’s operations.
Q. What is your favorite part about being on the SDC?
A: Clement is proud to be apart of an entity that is internationally acclaimed all while working assiduously to improve its local space. He is delighted that in his capacity as the general manager for SKELEC and a member of the SDC he is at the nexus of creating real change in a sector that Impacts every member of society. Clement has enjoyed all of the learning opportunities presented to him by being a member of the SDC.
Q: Is there a specific SDC event over the years that sticks out in your memory and you would like to share?
A: Clement recalls fondly being a part of the SDC’s coconut planting initiative and Rail to Trails project. According to Clement, these projects stand out for him because he saw first-hand how these initiatives contributed to making SKN a sustainable destination in keeping with the council’s tagline, good for us, better for all.
Q: Can you provide an example of a new thing that you’ve learned as a result of your involvement in the SDC?
A: Clement expressed how much his knowledge expanded when he participated in the Destination Guardian course. He believes that he has gained many useful skills than can assist him in transforming his organization.

As a member of the SDC, Clement considers himself as an ambassador for the program & wishes to increases SKELEC’s participation in the SDC by getting more staff involved in the work of the SDC.
