St.Kitts-Nevis Nationals of the Dominican Republic converged on the Newtown Playfield at an INDEPENDENCE FUN DAY CELEBRATION event held under the Patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris.
PM Harris who was joined by Hon. Jonel Powell was enthusiastically and warmly greeted by the huge crowd of persons mainly from the local Spanish community .
The event has turned out to be a massive e success with well over 1000 patrons present according to early estimates.
PM Harris was overwhelmed by the enthusiastically tremendous show of love and support for his presence . Minister of Sports Hon. Jonel Powell was also pleased with the days events which also featured Softball Championship between St.Kitts and Nevis
