On this morning’s Policing With You programme, a statement from the High Command of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force was read with regards to the incident that involved a Police Officer which occurred over the weekend.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO INCIDENT INVOLVING POLICE OFFICER

On Friday, March 04, 2022, there was an incident in the Basseterre area involving a Police Officer and civilians. Following the incident, several videos circulated on social media showing parts of what occurred. The High Command of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force understands that the images appear troubling to the members of the public. We, too, are deeply concerned by what we saw.
We want to assure you, the public, that this matter will be looked into thoroughly as an investigation has already been launched. We are treating this matter with the urgency and importance that it deserves.
