The St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and myself Dr Terrance Drew support these words of care and leadership from Comrade Leon Natta.

Our hearts are with the people of Molineaux and Philips’ Villages.

Last night’s fire at the Joshua Obadiah Williams Primary School, better known as the Molineaux Primary School, was a significant loss for the villagers of Molineaux and Philips’ Villages whose children attend this school. Many of us adults started our educational journeys at this school and would have made lifelong friends and lasting memories here and we too share in this great loss.

The charred remains of our school cut deep into the hearts of all of us, especially the many parents, children and teachers who will be inconvenienced on Monday when school resumes.

At this time of loss, I reach out to my people of Molineaux and Philips’. I pray that we resolve to be there for each other and for our teachers and students. I urge us all to rally around our school, to provide strength, hope and the resources needed to emerge better equipped to educate our children.

I pledge to do my part as a villager and community leader. I know by God’s grace, we can and we will build back better.
