New Romanian Ambassador presents credentials to Saint Kitts and Nevis

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 29, 2022 (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aviation): The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis is honoured to welcome the newly accredited Ambassador of Romania to Saint Kitts and Nevis, Her Excellency Theodora Magdalena Mircea.

Ambassador Mircea is scheduled to present Letters of Credence on Monday 28th March to the Governor-General of Saint Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton.

While in the Federation, Ambassador Mircea will pay courtesy calls on a number of Senior Government Officials including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation, the Honourable Mark Brantley, the Minister of Education et al., the Honourable Jonel Powell, and Minister of International Trade et al., the Honourable Wendy Phipps.

These courtesy calls will see a number of matters bearing Romanian influence being brought to the fore for discussion including, but not limited to, Regional Police Training, Training for Diplomats, Academic Scholarships in Horticulture, Graphic Design, Kinesiotherapy and Information Technology. Her Excellency will also discuss the details of a Water Project financed by the Government of Romania.

Both countries have tried to deepen the friendship established by formalizing diplomatic relations back in 2009 and continue to dialogue on areas of cooperation that are of mutual benefit to them both.
