Peoples’ Labour Party (PLP) attended the Cayon Church of GOD on Sunday 22nd May, 2022. As the National Political Party Leader of the PLP, Prime Minister Dr. Hon Timothy Harris again led a large contingent of members, supporters and well wishers to the service. Among the dignitaries were the National Party Chairman, Mr. Warren Thompson, the National Women’s Representative, Ms. Sonia Henry, the National Treasurer, Mr. Rawle Mars, Director of Communications, Mr. Craig Tuckett and the Constituency #5 Group Chairman, Mr. Glenville Mills.
The Rev. Pastor Dr. Ben Browne officiated the service and welcomed the Prime Minister Dr. The Honourable Timothy Sylvester Harris and his delegation. Pastor Browne’s message was based on the theme that no matter our lot we must always continue to have faith and trust in GOD, for He is working out His purpose always to our benefit.
After, the Hon. Prime Minister brought greetings on behalf of our Party and gave an awe inspiring exhortation. He thanked Pastor Browne and the leadership of the Church for welcoming him and his delegation. He gleaned on the powerful message rendered, that no matter the circumstances, we must always trust in GOD’s providence. We must always have faith and know that it is well with our soul, for our sovereign GOD reigns. The Prime Minister made reference to Psalms 23, reminding the congregation that GOD is our Good Shepherd; our Provider; our Defender and our Protector.
He stated that St. Kitts and Nevis continues to be a nation under GOD. A Nation respectful of GOD as we set aside periods in our lives to give GOD thanks for His goodness. He prays that the Goodness of GOD continues to run after us here in St. Kitts and Nevis and to prosper our nation.
The PLP continues to rely on GOD’s guidance and protection as we continue to put GOD and the People First.
