POLICE INVESTIGATING ROBBERY AT RAMS CASH AND CARRY IN NEVIS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 23, 2022 (RSCNPF): The Police are currently investigating a robbery at Rams Cash and Carry located at Stoney Grove in Nevis, which was carried out on Friday, July 22, 2022, at about 2:47 pm. A report was made to the Charlestown Police Station at 2:50 pm on the same day.

Investigations so far have revealed that two gunmen of average build wearing dark clothes, face masks, gloves, and red sneakers approached Rams Cash and Carry, entered the building, and assaulted a number of workers with their firearms. One of the gunmen then approached the cashier’s point and demanded of the manager that money be handed over. He made out with an undisclosed sum of cash. The other gunman robbed two female workers of their purses at gunpoint before both gunmen fled the scene and made good their escape.

The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit. Investigations into this robbery are ongoing.
