The Hon. Samal Duggins, Minister with Responsibility for Sport and Culture (Creative Economy), met with personnel from both Departments, to engage in introductory discussions on plans and programmes for both sectors. The discussions centered around creating opportunities for both Culture and Sport to have a greater impact on the lives of our youth in the school environment.
The Directors for both Departments shared their successes over the past year and expressed confidence in the Minister to actively address a number of challenges that both sectors are experiencing. Parties left feeling elated that the Minister came to hear from the senior members of the Departments.
Chairing the discussions was Permanent Secretary Valencia Syder, who is responsible for both ministries.
