HON SAMAL DUGGINS at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) meeting in Costa Rica
Minister of Agriculture Hon. Samal Duggins is currently at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) meeting in Costa Rica with officials from the Ministries of Agriculture from over 30 countries. The meeting is entitled: “Challenges for agriculture in the Americas to address the climate crisis”.
They are seeking to identify priority areas for climate action. In doing so, they will take into account the unique role of regional agriculture in leading global efforts in this area, as well as potential benefits with respect to nutritional and food security, poverty reduction, sustainability, and water conservation and management, among others.
