As part of scheduled school visits, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives, Hon. Samal Duggins visited the Verchild’s High School on Monday morning (October 17, 2022) to speak with students about the ongoing World Food Day celebrations in St. Kitts.
During a brief presentation, the Honourable Minister used the opportunity to highlight the theme, “Leave NO ONE Behind”. He explained that the voice of youth will be included in conversations about achieving food security and admonished the students to become more involved in agriculture.
Several members of the 2022 World Food Day– Week of Activities committee as well as technical staff from the Departments of Agriculture & Marine Resources, visited other schools across the island to address problems that lead to food insecurity and shared solutions that can improve productivity and economic growth for a better life.
