The Christopher Tourism Authority Request for Bids Destination Cleaning Services
The St. Christopher Tourism Authority is requesting bids from suitable qualified persons or companies to provide cleaning services of the destination in one or both of the following areas:
- Timothy Hill
- Two main beaches located on the South East Peninsula, Surroundings of Historical Sites located in Basseterre and areas surrounding Basseterre.
Section I – Background
The St. Christopher Tourism Authority, also referred to as the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA) is a Statutory Organization established by the Saint Christopher Tourism Authority Act, 1999 and was officially opened in April 2003. The Authority is governed by a Board of Directors.
The organization’s role is to oversee the development and marketing of the St. Kitts Tourism product.
Section II – Scope of Work
Project Deliverables
Qualified individuals or companies will be responsible for ensuring that the following areas are cleaned based on the monthly schedule assigned by the SKTA ensuring the following:
- Cutting of overgrown hedges and grass
- Removal of all litter
- Responsible disposal of garbage

- South Friars Bay
- Cockleshell Beach
- West Bay Road
- Kim Collins Highway
- Exit of College Street Ghaut
- East Bay Road
3. Fees
An overall budget detailing each scope of work should be submitted to the St. Kitts Tourism Authority along with the proposal. Proposed fees must be calculated on a monthly basis.
4. Equipment
A reference should be included identifying all equipment and resources to be applied to the job but not limited to:
- Human resource
- Heavy equipment – backhoe, trucks etc.
- Small hand tools – rakes, cutlasses etc.
5. Reference
The proposal should include a list of a minimum of two references for whom you have completed extensive work previously.
Section III – Submission Deadline
All proposals are to be submitted to the St. Kitts Tourism Authority via email to [email protected] or mail to the Chief Executive Officer, St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Pelican Mall, Basseterre, St. Kitts by Friday 16 December 2022 at 3pm.
