RSCNPF STEPS UP TO HELP OTHERS BY SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE SALVATION ARMY

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 23, 2022 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has continued its tradition of making a financial contribution to the Salvation Army with the handing over of a cheque on December 22, 2022.

Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy was pleased to present Major Roxroy Campbell, Pastor at the Salvation Army, with the donation which will go towards bringing much-needed supplies to others this Christmas. For several years, the RSCNPF has responded to the annual welfare appeal made by the Salvation Army during the holiday season. The money was collected from Police Officers and Civilian staff who work with the organisation.

Major Campbell thanked the Commissioner for the contribution. He explained that the Salvation Army was not able to meet its target this year, but was happy to give whatever it could with the assistance received.

“The Salvation Army Welfare for Christmas we do food hampers. This year we are doing about 200. We can’t reach up to the 250. Then we go visiting the Cardin Home, hospital, the prison, whatever we can try by the grace of God. And if there is any event that happens in the year like the COVID we participate,” Major Campbell said.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force was given the Annual Welfare Appeal Award in 2019 by the Salvation Army for its consistent contribution over the years.
