Coach of Conaree Al Richards said the victory was a well-needed win for the team. “It wasn’t pretty, but we stuck to it and in the end, we got the win,” Richards said. I want to say congrats to my team for the fight throughout,” he added.

In the night’s other Newtown United edged St. Peters FC 1-0, the goal coming from Shaheem Prentice in the 55th minute. After the match, Prentice said the win was crucial for Newtown. “We haven’t been losing but we were drawing and dropping points still. We needed a win and the table is close. So that win takes us right back into (Super) six and we just have to maintain and continue going,” Prentice said.
