After the second match, Coach Travis Somersall of St. Kitts and Nevis said there is still room for
improvement for his team before they depart for the tournament. “I thought we did average, to be
honest. We still have to go back to the drawing board and work on the final third,” Somersall
said, noting he was glad for the victory. “We need to put away our teams early and score our
chances that we get early on,” he added.
Meanwhile, Cassandra Gregg, Coach of the BVI U-15, said these matches were good for her
players as they prepare for the tournament.
“I’m happy with the performance. Once they play their hearts out and they’re happy. I’m happy,”
she said. She noted that St. Kitts and Nevis is above the level of the BVI team, and she is striving
to achieve this with her players. The Young Sugar Boyz will compete in the 2023 Concacaf U-15
Championship which will be held in the Dominican Republic and Curacao from August 6-13.
