CONTRIBUTORS TO SOCIAL SECURITY
TO RECEIVE $1000 AS WORKERS BONUS
BASSETERRE ST. KITTS, 20TH SEPTEMBER 2023 —Prime Minister and Minister of Social Security, Hon Dr Terrance Drew has announced the payment of $1000 to contributors to the Social Security Fund to include Pensioners and insured persons as part of the Government’s RESET initiatives for the fortieth anniversary of independence.
This Workers Bonus will be paid to pensioners and workers who have made at least 26 contributions to the social security fund throughout their contributionhistory. Only pensioners and insured persons who reside on St Kitts and Nevis will be paid.
Note well, there is no re-registration for pensioners and insured persons who received CBI Dividend Payments. Payments will be processed using banking details utilized for previous deposits. Insured persons who have no banking details on file at Social Security are required to provide proof of accurate banking information as provided by their respective banks or credit unions.
These deposits are scheduled to begin this week with pensioners being amongst the first to receive the Workers Bonus.
Subsequent batches will be paid accordingly until all qualified workers are paid.
This project is administered by the Social Security Board with funds from the Citizens by Investment program.
