QATAR AND BRAZIL SEEK TO DEEPEN RELATIONS WITH ST KITTS AND NEVIS IN INDEPENDENCE 40 CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 22, 2023 (SKNIS): Officials from the State of Qatar and the Federative Republic of Brazil have congratulated St. Kitts and Nevis on achieving 40 years of Independence and expressed a desire to deepen relations with the twin-island Federation.

In a letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al-Thani extended best wishes for the nation and wrote “We look forward to working together to strengthen and develop cooperation between our two friendly countries.”

n a similar letter to the Right Honourable Dr. Douglas, His Excellency Mauro Vieira, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil recalled the long-standing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“On this occasion, I reaffirm the Brazilian government’s willingness to continue working to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Brazil and St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as deepening our traditional diplomatic relations, established just two years after Independence and based on shared values,” he expressed.

St. Kitts and Nevis celebrated its 40th Anniversary of Independence on September 19, 2023.
