SPEAKER OF LOWER HOUSE OF THE PARLIAMENT OF INDIA CONVEYS WARM COMPLIMENTS TO ST. KITTS & NEVIS ON 40 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 28, 2023 (SKNIS) – The Speaker of Lok Sabha, the Lower House of Parliament of India, has congratulated the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on its attainment of 40 years of Nationhood celebrated on September 19, 2023.   

In a congratulatory letter penned to Honourable Ms. Lanien Blanchette, Speaker of the Parliament of St. Kitts and Nevis, H.E. Speaker Om Birla, had this to say:

“I take this opportunity to convey my warmest compliments and best wishes to you on the occasion of the Independence Day of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

“Our two countries have always enjoyed close and cordial relations based on our shared traditions. I am confident that relations between India and Saint Kitts and Nevis will grow from strength to strength and I look forward to working with you to further strengthen the bilateral and parliamentary ties between our two countries.

“On this auspicious day, I wish you good health and well-being, as well as pray for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Saint Kitts and Nevis.”
