Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Foreign Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis

MOFA Basseterre, (01st November, 2023) – The first ever accredited Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Saint Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Abdullah bin Muhammad Alsaihani, recently paid a courtesy call on the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, the Foreign Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis. The meeting served as a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two nations, and discussions centred on strengthening ties and fostering closer collaboration in various areas of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Douglas welcomed the Ambassador to Saint Kitts and Nevis and extended gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s recognition and accreditation of an Ambassador to the country. He emphasized the importance of strong diplomatic relations and cooperation in addressing global challenges and opportunities.

During the cordial meeting, Ambassador Alsaihani conveyed warm greetings and well wishes from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the government and people of Saint Kitts and Nevis. He expressed his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with the twin-island federation and to promoting cultural, economic, and political cooperation between the two countries.

Both parties engaged in discussions regarding various areas of cooperation and collaboration, including climate change, renewable energy, investment, and cultural exchanges.

Ambassador Alsaihani expressed Saudi Arabia’s willingness to explore opportunities for economic partnerships in Saint Kitts and Nevis while the Foreign Minister expressed the Federation’s interest in expanding its cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in these fields.

Both parties affirmed their commitment to deepening the friendship between their countries, and the meeting concluded with an agreement to work closely in the near future.
