PRELUDE TO WORLD FISHERIES DAY
In anticipation of World Fisheries Day, I had the pleasure of attending the Dieppe Bay Fisheries Fishing Tournament this past Saturday. Soaking in the beauty and fresh air of the countryside, the cheerful people, and the enthusiasm for fishing were truly heartwarming.
It reminded me of the importance of sustainable fishing practices as we seek to promote food security in achieving our 25 by 25 agenda. Additionally, to keep the fun going, in celebration of World Fisheries Day, another fishing tournament is lined up at the Old Road Fisheries, on November 19th. This fishing tournament will be unlike any other as it is fishing, cooking and mixology tournament. So save the date and don’t be late!
