The hosting of the 41st Ms. Haynes Smith Caribbean Talented Teen promises to be exciting as it marks the return of the event after a three-year hiatus. Saturday December 30, 2023 is a date to remember, so make sure you donโ€™t miss the exciting return of this prestigious event, carded for the St. Kitts Marriot Resort. Over the next few days, stay tuned to our social media pages, as we will be publishing bios of the contestants in this yearโ€™s event. Today we start with the contestant from French St. Martin: Doranyia Pascal.

Introducing Doranyia Pascal, the spirited teenager with a heart as warm as her Caribbean roots. Hailing from the friendly shores of French St. Martin, Doranyia was born on January 8th, 2006, as the second of five siblings. She’s currently in her final year at Citรฉ Scolaire Robert Weinum Lycรฉe, St. Martin.

Doranyiaโ€™s life is a symphony of passions, with dance and singing as the harmonious notes that fill her world. Trained at the admired Indisu Dance Company, her graceful movements and captivating voice are not just talents but expressions of her soul’s deepest emotions. Yet, beyond the stage lights, she shines brightest when her heart is focused on others.

Volunteering is her chosen avenue to make a meaningful impact, where compassion flows freely from her generous spirit.
While her dreams are as boundless as the Caribbean horizon, Doranyiaโ€™s chosen path is one of healing. With unwavering determination, she aspires to become a dentist, dedicated to bringing smiles and well-being to those she serves. But her vision extends far beyond the limitations of a dental chair.

Doranyiaโ€™s heart is firmly rooted in her community, and her mission is a testament to her commitment to change lives. Her platform is a noble oneโ€”to collaborate with organizations that empower residents in challenging neighborhoods to overcome adversity and emerge as better citizens. Having walked the same streets, she understands that these communities are pools of untapped potential.

Doranyia recognizes that her platform addresses a Caribbean-wide issue, and she is determined to shed light on this concern. The challenges faced by “ghetto” neighborhoods are not limited to her homeland, and she aims to foster change across the entire region. With her platform, she strives to be a beacon of hope and inspiration for the entire Caribbean, reminding everyone that transformation is possible. To Doranyia, the term “ghetto” doesn’t define, but rather, it ignites her belief that, with the right encouragement, strong icons can rise from even the toughest circumstances. She is resolute in her mission to provide support to those who have fallen victim to the grasp of addiction, guiding them towards rehabilitation centers and affordable or free care on her home island.

Doranyiaโ€™s journey isn’t just about winning pageants; it’s about using her spotlight to illuminate the lives of others, bringing awareness. As the reigning teen carnival queen and holder of several other esteemed titles from past pageants, she has already proven her grace, talent, and dedication to her community. Doranyia Pascal isn’t merely a contestant; she’s a radiant force of positivity, a beacon of hope, and a true ambassador for change in the sun-kissed embrace of French St. Martin.
