In Loving Memory of Lashley Weekes
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our esteemed colleague and beloved member of our SKELEC family, Lashley Weekes. Lashley began his journey at the St. Kitts Electricity Department (SKED) in the 1980s as an apprentice, and over the years, he contributed immensely to our organization’s growth and success.
Lashley’s dedication and passion for his work were evident as he progressed from a linesman to a supervisor, showcasing his commitment to excellence. At the time of his untimely departure, he held the esteemed position of Maintenance Superintendent in the Planning and Development Department within the Transmission and Distribution Division.
His legacy is not just in the lines he helped to install or the projects he meticulously supervised, but in the impact he had on the lives of those who had the privilege of working alongside him. Lashley’s kindness, experience, mentorship, and unwavering commitment left a mark on our SKELEC family. Lashley will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the kindness and warmth he brought into our workplace every day.
During this difficult time, our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Lashley’s family, friends, and colleagues. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all who had the honor of knowing him. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of a remarkable individual who dedicated over three decades to SKED and SKELEC.
Rest in Power Lashley. You will be greatly missed, but your spirit will forever shine in our hearts.
