NON-FATAL SHOOTING INCIDENT IN McKNIGHT UNDER INVESTIGATION


The Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on January 8th, 2024, at Lower Shaw Avenue, McKnight, St. Kitts, between 11AM and 12PM. The incident left twenty-three (23)-year-old Addison Martineau of Upper Shaw Avenue, McKnight, nursing wounds to the upper body.

Preliminary investigations indicate that two (2) masked individuals exited a vehicle and opened fire on persons who were congregated where vehicles are often washed. Mr Martineau sustained injuries in the process and was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He is currently warded in stable condition.
The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. The general public with be kept appropriately abreast of the investigation’s developments as it progresses.
