MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE PREPARING TO HOST ANNUAL REVIEW AND PLANNING MEETING ON TUESDAY

Preparations are underway for the hosting of this year’s Annual Review and Planning Meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources on Tuesday February 27th from 9:00 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.
Distinguished speakers from the Ministry, government officials, and agricultural experts are expected to deliver insightful presentations, shedding light on the current state of agriculture and outlining future goals. This includes a message from the Minister of Agriculture, Honourable Samal Duggins, reports from the Director of Agriculture, Jeanelle Kelly, the Director of Marine Resources St. Kitts and Nevis, Randel Thompson and the Medicinal Cannabis Authority which is headed by Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Garfield Alexander.
The event will include comprehensive reviews of the Ministry’s achievements, programs, and initiatives undertaken in the previous year, showcasing successful endeavors and noting areas for improvement.
Presentations will be followed by a breakout question and answer session that aims to encourage active participation and discussion among media representatives and attendees.
Agricultural stakeholders will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of strategic plans for the upcoming year, ensuring a collective and informed approach to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
