The Political Leader of PAM and former Deputy Prime Minister of St. Kitts & Nevis, Honourable Shawn Richards, announced today, (4th April, 2024), that when his current term ends later this year, he will not be seeking re- election as the Leader of the Party. Richards had been hinting for sometime now that he believed the time was approaching for the organization to chart a new path, with new leadership.
The decision of Richards, is consistent with a long tradition of PAM, to undertake a smooth transition of leadership at crucial periods of its political history.
The Party will soon announce details about the way forward for the election of a new leader and executive, as the date for its annual Caucus and Convention approaches.
